Shanghai Moon Watch

With Yann Debelle de Montby, we designed the Shanghai Moons Tourbillon Watches, a set of four one-hand timepieces. The design merged Chinese and Western influences, blending Art & Design with horology.

Each watch features a unique hand-etched moon phase – full, first quarter, last quarter, and new moon – based on NASA photography. The Shanghai Moon Watches employ a single hand-painted red steel hour hand, reflecting on our relationship with Time and the luxury of transcending minute-by-minute precision. This mechanical collection evokes magic and dream, through the dedicated pursuit of precision in its handmade Heng Bao tourbillon mechanism and its homage to the inspiring and mysterious Moon. This "Object of Curiosity" draws inspiration from the designers' childhood wonder, reminiscent of the Little Prince's celestial dreams and the enduring fascination with the sky and the elusive Moon.
