The project is rooted in the meticulous renovation of an existing hotel, preserving its architectural bones while entirely reimagining its identity. The design translates the spirit of Paris through a contemporary, effortless lens—blending relaxed elegance, bohemian undertones, and an innate sense of welcome. The atmosphere is struck by a careful balance between local heritage and an Italian-inspired warmth that brings lightness and spontaneity to the spaces.
Conceived as a seamless extension of the city itself, the common areas are vibrant social hubs designed for travelers and locals alike. The lobby and La Vie en Rouge—the hotel's cocktail bar and bistro—revisit the archetype of the classic Parisian literary café with an informal touch, blending the reception, lounge, and quiet corners into a fluid, open environment that maintains an ongoing dialogue with the inner courtyard. Bespoke architectural elements in wood and brass, paired with a warm color palette, establish a space that is both rigorous and inviting, where craftsmanship meets visual clarity.
The guest rooms offer a more private, secluded retreat reminiscent of a quintessential Parisian apartment. Stripped back to a clean, restrained design language, they pair tactile warm materials, subtle brass accents, and gentle lighting with a curated selection of illustrations and artworks by local artists, capturing the city through urban vignettes and everyday moments. The outcome is a distinctive space crafted to strike a refined balance between comfort and personality.
