Le Petit Hotel du Grand Large

In this project of restoration and renovation of the existing building, we shaped the desire of the chef and owner Hervè Bourdon to preserve the soul of the place: "Change everything to change nothing." We worked with materials rich in meaning: the wood of a Chinese boat, donated as its final voyage, found new life in boiserie and furnishings. The nautical charts that cover the central pillar tell the story of the boat's journey, ideally connecting China to Britain.

Every detail was carefully considered to reflect the identity of the Petit Hotel du Grand Large and its owner. The portraits of local suppliers, created by Bourdon himself, displayed on the walls, add a personal and authentic touch. Many micro-stories and just as many imaginations, which have found a home in this almost domestic space, which in its renewal has been able to welcome them and make them the center of the project.
